1. In view of the series of class suspensions brought about by adverse weather conditions and to ensure the completion of the remaining learning competencies for the First Term, the Term 1 Examination originally scheduled on August 28 and September 1, 2026, is hereby rescheduled to September 1 and 2, 2026.
  2. This adjustment is intended to provide teachers sufficient time to cover the remaining learning competencies and afford learners adequate opportunity to review and prepare for their examinations.
  3. Furthermore, pursuant to the advisory of the Schools Division Superintendent in relation to the conduct of the Special Election on August 29, 2026, classes on August 28, 2026 (Friday) shall be conducted through the Distance Learning Modality (DLM). This arrangement will provide schools ample time to undertake the necessary preparations and logistical arrangements for the election, including the organization and preparation of classrooms and other school facilities that will be utilized as polling and election-related venues. Moreover, August 28, 2026, has likewise been designated as the scheduled day for teachers serving in the electoral process to claim their election paraphernalia and other pertinent materials from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC).
  4. In this connection, all teachers are hereby directed to submit their finalized Term 1 Examination materials on or before August 25, 2026, to facilitate the timely reproduction and preparation of test papers and ensure readiness for the administration of the examinations.
  5. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Memorandum are hereby directed.
  6. For information, guidance, and compliance.
