IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET) 2025

The In-Service Training (INSET) 2025 of Francisco E. Barzaga Integrated High School was successfully conducted from December 18 to 20, 2025, at Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas City. Anchored on the theme “KIKO Level Up,” the three-day professional development program aimed to strengthen teachers’ ethical foundations, pedagogical competence, research skills, assessment literacy, social-emotional learning practices, and responsible integration of artificial intelligence in education.

 

Day 1: Ethics, Rights, and Social-Emotional Learning

 The first day focused on ethical practice and professional responsibility in education. Session 1, Rights and Ethics for Teachers, was delivered by Atty. Balicas, highlighting teachers’ legal rights, duties, and ethical standards. Session 2, Ethical Dilemmas in Education, facilitated by Atty. Salubre, provided real-life scenarios that encouraged reflective discussion and ethical decision-making. Session 3, Social-Emotional Learning, led by Ms. Sucgang, emphasized learner-centered teaching and the role of social-emotional development in fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments. 

Overall, Day 1 reaffirmed the school’s commitment to ethical practice, continuous professional growth, and excellence in delivering quality education for every Febnian learner.

 

Day 2: Assessment and Action Research

The second day centered on improving instructional quality through effective assessment and research-based practice. Session 4, Enhancing Assessment Practices, conducted by Ms. Salcedo, enabled teachers to explore meaningful, learner-centered assessment strategies. Session 5, Action Research, facilitated by Ms. Macawile, strengthened teachers’ skills in writing and conducting classroom-based research.

This day underscored the importance of reflective practice, evidence-based decision-making, and data-driven strategies in improving learner outcomes and instructional effectiveness.

 

Day 3: Ethical AI in Education

The final day focused on innovation and digital transformation through Session 6, Ethical AI in Education, led by Ms. Abecia. Teachers explored various AI-powered educational tools and websites, completed short courses, and earned skill-building certificates. This session equipped participants with practical competencies to responsibly integrate AI into teaching while upholding ethical standards.

Day 3 empowered teachers to embrace digital innovation and deliver smarter, more engaging, and future-ready learning experiences for every Febnian learner.
